a Spiderman story

Peter Parker awoke from his nap and looked at the clock. He had been asleep for over four hours. He sat up and realized how sore he was. It had been a long battle against the Peppy Purple Polar Bear. He had fallen asleep the minute he got home and had been asleep ever since. He sat up and tried to breath through his nose but instead only heard a wet snuffle, followed by a sneeze. "Keh-cheshh." He reached over and grabbed the Kleenex, sneezing again. "Heh-ketch, Keh-hush-hush."
`Great,' he thought. All that fighting in the snow had given him a cold. Didn't bother the polar bear, of course, but now he'd have to deal with 7-10 days of headaches, achiness, coughing, sniffling and sneezing. Dragging himself out of bed, he headed to the bathroom to find some cold medicine and then to the kitchen for a bowl of soup. While he waited for the microwave, he slumped in a chair. His eyes focused on his hands, specifically the scar from the spider bite. A bite that had changed his life.
He didn't feel much like a superhero right now, he thought before a fit of sneezes erupted from him. "Ihhcheshhh, heh-ehhhhshhh, ihh-chishhoo, ehhchishh, hehuhsheshh, hah-ahhhtchh, heh-ehh-ehhcheshhuhh." He grabbed a paper towel and blew his nose several times.
Finishing the soup, he headed back to bed, nearly tripping over Harry's fencing sword. He sunk into the soft bed, too tired and sore to move. He lay there for several minutes. "Heh-kemshh, kuhcheshhh," he sneezed, breaking the silence that had settled over the room. A few minutes later, he was asleep, his congested snores the only noise in the apartment.
I don't own Spiderman or Peter Parker. The Peppy Purple Polar Bear is all mine! Written for weekly hatching challenge 18.
